Person-Centred Therapy
This approach facilitates the
personal growth and relationships of a client by allowing them to explore
and utilise their own strengths and personal identity.
What is Person-Centred Therapy?
Person-Centred Therapy is a type of therapy that falls under the umbrella of Humanistic therapy. The goal of Person-Centred Therapy is to provide clients with an opportunity to develop a sense of self wherein they can realise how their attitudes, feelings and behaviour are being negatively affected and make an effort to find their true positive potential.
In this technique, therapists create a comfortable, non-judgmental environment by demonstrating genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard toward their clients. It is believed that this aids clients in finding their own solutions to their problems.
Your counselling sessions really helped to get me through a difficult period and I now feel in a much better place and able to think about moving on with my life.
