About me
I am currently in training and working toward a career in counselling. I am passionate about this work as I have always had a keen interest in my own mind, self-knowledge and what it means to live as a human being.
I have done volunteer work, primarily working with loneliness and re-engagement with the community, which confirmed to me that helping others and making a difference in the world is a key part of how I wish to spend my time.
I have a personal interest and enthusiasm for secular, non-dogmatic Eastern and Western philosophies and meditation, which help to keep me grounded and assist in navigating life’s many challenges.
Individual work
The aim is for us to build a trusted, safe, non-judgmental and confidential therapeutic relationship, one in which you can feel comfortable to bring any challenges that you may be struggling with.
Often our existing relationships can be too complex, or we may not have people that are close enough to us, to allow us to express how we are truly feeling.
Life can be very hard and lonely at times. I would like to offer a listening ear — to try and understand what things are like for you — and, in doing so, enable you to hear yourself and locate the answers that I believe you hold. Helping you to discover those deeper parts, be more in touch with emotions, and ultimately to make positive change in order for you to lead a happier and more fulfilling life.
I relate well to people from all walks of life, age, gender, race & sexual orientation.
As a male, I particularly understand the challenges that men face in regard to connecting to emotional well-being. Often this can feel like ‘dangerous territory’ and a stepping into the unknown, but I believe that when we take this journey we can find reserves of courage that may have been hidden from view, allowing us to grow emotional confidence and impact our personal relationships in a positive direction.
