Person-Centred and Integrative Counsellor
(In-person and Online)
Student Member of the BACP
About me
I am an Interim Counsellor at HTC and am just about to qualify as a person centred counsellor after studying for four years. I became interested in counselling about 12 years ago when I started my own personal counselling journey after experiencing a bereavement. I found the whole process so supportive and healing and learned that counselling was not just beneficial to process my grief, but, to discover who I am and how I relate to people and the world. I learned how to make the changes I needed to become more at peace and a happier person. I decided that I wanted to help others reap the benefit of therapy so embarked on a career change in order to do this which is both rewarding and a constant strive to learn more to enhance my experience and skills.
Individual work
I am available for in-person/face to face clients and online. Working with all ages from 12 yrs and above.
Clients I work with
Adults (18+) and Young People from the age of 14+.
How I deliver therapy
My style of counselling is predominantly person centred (with some useful integrative therapy resources & techniques to offer support when appropriate). I hope that the clients that I work with find the therapy space a safe and private environment where we can explore challenges and thoughts together in order to find empowerment to make the necessary changes in life to feel happier and more fulfilled.
Therapy approaches
Person Centred – using various models according to your individual needs.
What I can help with
Ethical practice
I am a student member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors & Pyschotherapists). All members adhere to working within the BACP Ethical Framework in order to promote good practise and we endeavour to have the client’s best interest at the heart of our work together.
I also undertake clinical supervision of my work twice per month.
