About me
I am an integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I qualified as a counsellor following several years in a range of companies. In those environments I discovered how, though a relationship based on valuing, trusting and empowering, people could meet their own personal needs for growth.
Now, alongside my own counselling private practice, I also support clients through voluntary organisations. I work with clients experiencing a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, isolation, low self esteem, loss and bereavement, relationship difficulties and work-related problems.
Counselling Individuals (Adults)
You may have times when you struggle in coping with where you are in life and need a safe place to talk about your issues and concerns. Counselling can help you coupe, and to make changes in your life. I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can talk about your relationships, childhood, behaviours, past and present life events, coping with difficult situations and your feelings, thoughts and emotions.
My approach is integrative so, drawing on a range of different counselling approaches (modalities), I can tailor how we work together according to your specific needs. My key aim is to work alongside you – to understand you and enable you to harness your own strengths and experience to move forward and make changes in your life.
I strongly believe that we are at our best when we live our lives to our own values, rather than the values imposed on us by others.
I can offer both short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy.
